In an effort to Make Puppy even more attractive I've investigated how to install and configure CUPS (Common Unix Printing System) to work under Puppy. Well, It's ready now for prime time testing. If you currently have problems printing from puppy or if you have the need to share printers with puppy over a network you may benefit from using CUPS. If you are interested, just go to the following link, read it carefully and try it. CUPS: Almost There! I'm trying to make the installation as painless as possible. It's working 100% OK for me, but I will only build the DotPup until more people confirm that it works under different configurations (I'm using a liveCD). |
