Below is a list of things Dan talks about.
Bugs
syslinux
built in partition tools not working
Caps lock bugs (multiple pressing)
Marks MU server cures the problem
USB plug in problem
ThinPC clients
New Puplet based on 1.0.3
Some points:. Because we have the MP3 recorder built into Puppy - maybe using that as the default would be an idea - perhaps if we standardise on the 8000 Hz and 16 bit sample rate? This would allow cut and pasting (to make compilations - which I tried - diffferent sample rates made this awkward)
Another thing I noticed - you must turn up the volume (you can use normalise in the Recorder) Is amplify better? I wonder how many people think their sound is not working and it is the volume (had it happen to me . . .)

I heard it OK Dan - hoping someone will turn My Puppy rap-poem into a musical version . . . Wot no musicians?
| Quote: | Puppy Parlez Penguin - Woof Woof
Yo-Yo U young un' pups
Lissen up - as I tell yas
of Little ol' Puppy Linux . . .
OZ borne wizard of tummy Tcl tricks
Puppy flies faster than a Mozzy dino soaring
Chasing Fire from the Fox, whining with the Opera
Puppy is a damn fine Linux
Puppy he beats that Beatrix
Swims past ministrone Austrumi
I swear he ain't no damn small Linux
Cuter than talk of Ubuntu
More Red Hats than Slack worn Suse
Puppy got a brand new peach coat for one oh five
Aw that Puppy! he ain't no dawg
Everbody Loves Puppy - that's my Yo-Yo
|
m m m . . . lyrics might need some tuning too . . .

Cool I have a tendancy to spoof songs, so the next time one pops into my head, I'll make it a Puppy spoof.
Hmmm....
All around the world, Windows shatter for me
Who knows how long it's been running?
Everywhere I go, I take my Puppy
Only 1.0.5, may Barry have a long life
I just want to fly
Go on and play with Puppy,
Come on lets play with Puppy
I just want to fly
Go on and play with Puppy,
Come on lets play with Puppy

Out of the new puppy 1.0.5, I find the best new feature is the txt 2 pdf

Puppy 1.0.5 Pawedcast |
|
Here are my latest gibberings on Puppy 1.0.5
1600k (in ogg vorbis format) if you can not hear - turn your volume up . . . how? multimedia / xtmix sound mixer
http://tinyurl.com/7ou2f
Sound not working? No sound card? Oh well . . . try another computer . . .
G2 - no need to move this to the wayback archive - I am in the process of doing it . . . However one strange thing I used the gftp FTP client in Puppy - it was slow - what should have taken minutes took more than an hour and a half
- is it the FTP client? - wayback archive?

i haven't used ourmedia.org/archive.org much ... i just uploaded 3 pawedcasts, mostly as experiments ... the last one still has not appeared ... the first 2 appeared within a minute or 2
ourmedia.org is a simple way to upload pictures/video/audio etc files, which are stored on the archive.org machines ... ourmedia and archive.org use different upload systems but the files end up on the same servers
i think ourmedia.org's uploading system is supposed to be easier than archive.org's system ... basically, you just click the Upload link, fill in the form which is basically a title, description, comments, license (i just accepted the defaults), and Browse for the file you want to upload
i don't know a lot about it, i thought it might be useful for Puppy, so i thought i'd experiment with it a bit ... ourmedia.org is supposed to allow software uploads too, but they still haven't set that up
i haven't uploaded anything directly to archive.org

Puppian thanks for that. I was already aware that you were working on this (thanks for the private messages) There are many variables and possibilities with pawed vasting (Radio Puppy) and various possibilities are being tried out . . .

Great Broadcast |
|
Hey, Lobster, you're hit in this recent broadcast, everything seems perfect ! Hey, folks, why don't we help Lobster get into streaming audio...
Lobster, hope you remembered all your settings (including the mindset, eh ).
Broadcasts like this will be great for streaming media, something that even MS users can listen to.
[Really, Ed, I can just play that broadcast over and over and calm my stressed nerves Not that you mentioned my name, really you got everything perfect there.]
I also love your line about selling Puppy to M$ - typically fishy (or frisky, as you call it).

Thanks Raffy,
I have created with my limited programming skills this communication center for The Puppy Linux Foundation
http://tinyurl.com/8b6zj
now at BareBones version 0.8
I had hoped to create a sort of on line message drop center but sadly my fellow programmer (the brains) was not available . . . did what I could . . .
I hope the online podomatic link (podomatic has a new streaming function) might be suitable for more Puppys to try Podcasting - or just a voicemail . . .
Also Ian did a voicemail but I can not find it on the forum - maybe someone can?

Thanks for all the great pawedcasts, guys. I put in my two cents on puppian's forum (http://freeforums.bizhat.com/?mforum=com).
I would really like to seem some organization to the pawdcast...a central location on the web that we could link to from pupweb.org that would contain at least an organized list of links to all our various pawedcasts. Perhaps even just a sticky in this forum would do. They just seem rather scattered accross the web right now to me.
