I will be working on a project in the near future that may interest some. It occurs to me, with puppy being so small and having much less of the junk daemons and such to hog up cpu and memory. Puppy might be just right to incorporate a few needed items to make it function as a video surveylance system.

I propose to use Motion, video4linux and some usb cameras. I hope to make something that has the ability to capture at least 2 video streams and save them to disk and archive them using mplayer to playback the captured images.

The machine is going to be a compaq 300 Mhz PII. here's cheers to you all. Thanks for your hard work.
