like i said the graphics are bad but chess is still chess right?
it adds a menu entry in games and can also be ran directly from the command line with the command "cheops" without quotes

here you go now go waste a couple million brain cycles

The graphics are great!!
Only minus is they are a bit small
I normally don't install games but when i stumbled a cross this topic about a chess game i was interested and it's really cool

hit CTRL-ALT-F2 and run it in its own console
login root
password (hit the return key)
CTRL-ALT-F3 to switch back to you uninterrupted X session at any time.
