Need Realtek 8180 PCMCIA wireless-b support

#1 Post by jamz »

Have a no-name brand PCMCIA 802.11B wireless card. Found that it is really a Realtek 8180. Does Puppy 1.04 have support for this..cant seem to find it listed in the wizard unless its under another driver name..

Thanks,

Jamz

Use Puppy 1.0.5alpha2 to compile the driver from -

... or watch the "Announcements" forum, I will be putting several wireless driver packages on a download site soon, including your driver.

The Linux Realtek drivers are crap, they don't work and are bound to kernels compiled to a specific version of gcc, I tried for ages to get them to work. ndiswrapper is the only option for these chipped cards.
