I am using 1.0.4 chubby and my IMPS/2 mouse wont work, so I thought I would try and use Puppy without a mouse, which isn't easy.
If I press F9 in FVWM I get a dot I can move around with my arrow keys, but don't know how to make any thing work or open ?
Can anyone help with keyboard commands using Puppy or any advice on getting my IMPS/2 to work. I know there is already a post about configuring IMPS/2 mice, but it wont work, there is no XF86Config file in /etc/X11 as was
suggested ? , buggered if I know.
Any help would be tops, tar...

Don't know about FVWM, but in most GUIs you can jump the focus from one button to the next, from left to right and from the top of the window to the bottom, with the "tab" key. Once you have selected a button with the tab key, you activate (left click) it with the "enter" key.

I dont know if fvwm95 supports keybindings.

You might ask the "specialists" for that: http://fvwm.lair.be

It is important to tell them, that you use fvwm95, as most questions there concern fvwm2, that is completely different.

The directions you found for configuring the IMPS/2 mouse are for a different version of Puppy with XFree86.

When you first booted Puppy, did you choose/type in USB for the mouse?

If not, when you get into Puppy try this. Do a <ctrl><alt><backspace>

When you get the console, type in;

Code:
rm /etc/mousedevice

Make sure there is a space between rm and /etc/mousedevice

Then type in xwin

Try configuring the mouse again by typing in usb when prompted for the mouse type.

See if the mouse works. Then on reboot and see if it still works.

I tried tabbing, the usb setting and the fvwm website without much luck.
The site did say that any mouse with the buttons option above 5 wasn't guaranteed to work ? which is no friggin good.
I was hoping I wouldn't have to resort to my spare crap mouse, but I might have to seeings I like Puppy so much, thanks you blokes for the help.
