Has anyone tried this? Any good? They seem to wish to have their design placed into VIA motherboards (good plan)

I found the link on Beatrix Linux which I liked because of its elegant simplicity - however last time I looked, it took two and half or three minutes to boot and I always felt it was great if you did not want to do anything but the basics (which for many people is all they need) I like Gnome - some do not.
Now I know G2 and Barry quite liked Vector Linux (too slow for me). My second Linux is Ubuntu (on HD) - but that is rather slow. Am I ready for Gentoo?
I must admit that putting Puppy on the HD ( I have done it of course) is just no issue for me. Anyone come across anything interesting lately?
