This afternoon, I set up a lean version of Puppy 1.0.2 unleashed on six PCs in our school's computer lab. But, booting the CD failed on both machines that had 8X IDE CD-ROM drives. The initial booting goes OK, but when it gets to the pont where the screen reads "Uniform CD-ROM Driver 3.20" it chokes and spits out a variety of errors till it freezes up. I have run 9.9 and 1.0.1 on both of those machines in the recent past.

There seems to be a problem with the new kernel and CDs & DVDs. It doesn't use scsi emulation.
