Hi, just want to let you know...

The actual issue if the german computer magazine c't has vmware 4.5 workstation with
a 360 days evaluation license on the accompaning cd-rom.

Just made a puppy 1.0.5rc virtual machine with 128MB ram and 500MB hdd, booting from
iso image. Using NAT and are writing this post from puppy running inside vmware, using the host pc eth0/ip address!! Great!

Forgive my ignorance. Does this mean you are running Puppy on a Virtual Machine from within Windows?

Yes, that is completely correct. But that is of course just here at our
company site Wink
At home I have two native Puppy only systems...

I was able to run Puppy 1.05 as a virtual machine using the trial version of VirtualPC through Windows2000. Boot from the iso image, 200 megs RAM. NAT for internet access. Sound works fine. VirtualPC does not allow shared directories with Windows but I simply transfer files using FTP. It allows me to learn Puppy at work. But, home is a hard drive installation.
