In USB devices I found this one

A home network for appliances.
Interesting, but there should be an application program and the home appliances should have an X10 facility then.
Could give lots of fun if one could switch on/of the lights, TV or whatever in the neighbor's house. Wink

X10 looks real cool, but having done much research on it recently I've found it to be completely inadequate for my needs.

USB relay controllers look much more promising for the future of precision power control.

Why can't I just buy a power strip that has a USB input to control each socket individually? There is one that can power on and off with a computer but that's not what I mean or need.

so it could be an ATI TVwonder remote control module, though the device ID is 0004, whereas yours is 0006
