Just answer, Zigbert, CD-RW would it be possible with Burn, if every thing goes well, or not ?

CR-RW is of course meant to work with pBurn.

But no one can help out without any information.

It seems to be all ok but just in case, I wanted to ask if the red "missing" notification means something is actually missing. Screenshot below.

It is not ok using the pBurn 4-branch with cdrkit as backend. See main post.
pburn-3.7.18 is the last release supporting cdrkit

But the output of the dependency check is messy ... I guess you have a symlink from wodim to cdrecord, and that might fool the checker a bit.

PostPosted: Wed 06 Jan 2016, 11:50    Post subject: Pburn burn DVD using mp4 file?

I am running, lxpuptahr-15.05.2-pae with kernel 3.14.20, and have a question about pBurn.

I am wanting to burn a DVD-video, to play on TV, using an "*.mp4" file.

The reason I ask is, it shows on the "Burn Video" tab:
Formats: *.avi *.flv *.mpg *wmv... etc

Will Pburn 4.3.16 be able to burn it using the *mp4 format, or does it need to be converted, first, to another format like "*.avi"?

Thanks for any replies, festus Smile

I'm a thanking you for your reply, zigbert .

I'll go ahead and burn the videos, and it'll save me a lot of time not having to convert them to another format.

And thank you for pBurn

I have finally gone full Puppy and although I can solve 90+% of my problems I had to come back to the forum for this one.

I have an album (Music) I recorded several years ago and my original image is a nero NRG. I have tried several versions of Pburn and nrg2iso to convert it however it always turns into a VCD that is unreadable.

Running Tahrpup 6.0.1 updated to 6.0.5
pburn 3.5.3

About the image.

The original nrg includes cdtext for the track list. Could this be the conversion problem?

I have also found when copying a master cd (my original master copy of my album Medicine Walk) cdtext does not show up on the copy.

Is there a way to simply copy my master to a file as an iso and burn from there?

Sorry for all the questions, I have to make some copies for clients.

PS, Feels good to be back Wink

ISO Master is available to create an ISO file and then pburn will burn it.
It was written to duplicate commercial CDs of applications like ADOBE.
I haven't tested it with Audio CDs .

You can't create an .iso for an audio CD, as an audio CD doesn't contain a filesystem.
Normally you would use bin and cue files to create audio CDs.

I was really hoping to get an exact copy since it is already in the cd dstabase. I have also noticed that Pcd doesn't recognize the cd text on the master however VLC does. I am wondering if perhaps K3b might do an exact copy?

I will do a bit more research before I give up on the master copy.

ISO master wikki site (in German) says that it reads NRG
---> Nero's format

Quote:
Leseunterstützung für NRG-Abbilder (Format von Nero Burning ROM)

After extensive research it appears that I can only do this with Nero. I think my best bet at this point is to remaster the album and re-submit it to all the databases.

I may make one last attempt to boot the old win machine and see if I can save it as an iso from there. it is (in theory) possible to do this with the original program.

Next step is the lightscribe label. Wink
Thanks for the help Smile

Once again, you can't save an audio cd as an iso because it doesn't have a filesystem. It is not possible "in theory", so neither is it in practice.
