I'm running Puppy on a one gig thumb drive. Is there a simple way to transfer my current installation and setup to a blank two gig drive?

I think I'm more interested in a simple way of explaining it.

You presumably know how you installed Puppy on the smaller drive. Just do the same with the other drive.

The file you will want to transfer is your existing pup_save.2fs file. You can do this by a simple copy operation if you can mount both USBs at the same time, which you should be able to do.

If you can't mount them at the same time, then copy the old one to an intermediate place like your hard disk, then copy it to the new 2GB thumb drive.

Excellent... Will that puppy_save.2fs file also incorporate the EZPup and extra apps and docs I've installed?

I would say yes, unless you knowingly saved and linked programs outside the pup_save file, which is easy to do, but not easy to do and not do it intentionally and knowingly.

Don't delete your existing pup_save file until you are happy that everything went well, and even then there may be no reason to delete it as it could serve as a backup.

Also, I forgot to say, "Welcome to the kennels"

Again, thanks. I'm enjoying everything about this young dog, including the community!
