As usual I am going way beyond my capacity to even understand what I am suggesting . . .
But when we stabilise the new kernel a lot of interest from developers might come if we are able to generate a custom kernel for future boots on a Mult-session CD
Using tinyCC (part of Puppy) the initial boot up would be slow (by Puppy standards) whilst a persons machine was set up
Then a custom kernel is created

Now the kernel is smaller and optimised for a particular configuartion
Puppy just got faster still - and smaller.
Oh I know easy enough to say - just an idea
We still have to get the Multi-session CDRW recognised . . . which is currently being debated on IRC
