Hallo,
ich konnte im Forum keine Lösung finden, darum frage ich hier mal nach:
Beim Einsatz von Samba 3.0.25b unter Puppy 3.00 tritt der Effekt auf, daß Samba für jeden Zugriff über das Netzwerk auf den Sambaserver einen oder gelegentlich 2 neue Prozesse startet und diese dann für eine unbestimmte Zeit "am Leben" läßt.
Das hat zur Folge, daß beim Kopieren vieler Dateien mehrere hundert ( Shocked ) Prozesse den Server zum Erliegen bringen, nach ein paar Minuten Wartezeit normalisiert sich die ganze Geschichte dann wieder.

Ist das Problem bekannt oder noch besser, hat jemand eine Lösung für dieses Problem parat? Das Sambapaket habe ich den angebotenen, offiziellen PET packages entnommen.

Dann versuche doch, Samba aus den Quellen neu zu komplieren. Ich denke, dass sind zombie prozesse oder?

Yupp, bin eh schon dran, zumal es derzeit wieder eine aktuellere Fassung gibt.
