How do I create a menu for my remastered Puppy? |
|
With the new menu scripts, how do I create my own menu? I used to edit fvwm-blabla.cfg , but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do now for my remasterings.

They currently will be lost.
I made a backup-script, that saves menue-entries from dotpups created with my dotpup-wizard.
But as its entries are created automatically, they have a "fixed" structure, and are easy to backup.
With personal menues this is different.
I plan to enhance my own menuesystem to export entries to jwm , icewm and fvwm 95 and adapt the backup-script, but this will not be part of Puppy 1.0.5.

It also will not be saved to a remastered CD, but this only requires a very small patch I will add this weekend.
(there must be added one line to /root/.packages/Puppy-wxB-Menue-0.6.files: /root/.myownmenuerc)

I added the patch.
Now you can use at least my menue for your personal entries on a remastered CD.
The Windowmanager-Support will come with Puppy 1.0.6
