If you install DotPups created with my Dotpup-Wizard, they will add an entry in the JWM-menue.

But when you uninstall them, the entry is not removed.

So use this small tool to remove it manually.

All DotPups-entries are listed, and you can try to run them first before removing the entry in the menue.
This does not uninstall a DotPup, it just deletes the Menue-entry.

WARNING

This tool has eroors, if you used the pb-debianinstaller

This breaks your Desktop !!!

Backup /root/.jwmrc , and use it ONLY if you are an experienced user!

I leave it here for bugfixing issues

On Systems older than Puppy 1.0.5 Final, you must install these 2 small additional packages:

Gtkdialog2: http://www.murga.org/%7Epuppy/download.php?id=875

That is useful. I have, downloaded again the dialog2 and Basic pups but the program did not run in 1.0.4 on my machine from the menu (where it appeared) or from ROX - too many progs and stuff maybe - menu could sure do with the clean . . . should I try from the command line?

Did others in 1.0.4 or earlier get it working? Following Marks advice in the next post I have now got it working . . .

mark,
Just while I remember, will post this info here:

Those scripts that you sent me, to remove all the DotPup
entries from the menus, then to restore them.
I put the call to the backup and to the restore script into
/etc/rc.d/rc.update, so that on a version upgrade the DotPup
entries will get preserved.
However it didn't seem to work.

As I had run out of time, I comment-out the calls from
rc.update.
So, when 1.0.5 is released, would appreciate if you can
look at it.

To test:

When Puppy boots, rc.update is pristine, out of image.gz,
so to re-instate those calls will have to either use Puppy
Unleashed or run the remaster-CD script.

Then, just change the version number in /etc/puppyversion
back to 104 then reboot.

We will have to get it fixed by 1.0.6 definitely, as by then
many people will be using your DotPup installer, as it
is now in Puppy 1.0.5.
