Install Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.1.1 as plug-in in Seamonkey?

#1 Post by ronrut »

When I click on a link in Seamonkey that is PDF file, I get this message: Could not launch Adobe Reader 8.1.1. Please make sure it exists in PATH variable in the environment. If the problem persists, please reinstall the application.. Reader shows up in my about:plug-ins, and I added the full path of the acrobat launcher to the PATH in /etc/profile. Any suggestions? I've about wore out the search feature....

With my stock seamonkey, a window pops up asking me what to do with the .pdf file:
- open with epdfview
- open with (choose a program)
- save to disk

It does not require an Adobe Reader Plugin (???)
