Hi everyone,

I probably misssed something.
Here is what I have done step by step:

- Boot puppy 3.01 retro with "pfix=ram"
- Test wifi on my laptop (it works!!!)
- Download ezpup3
- Install ezpup3
- Restart X server

At this time everything seems OK: some icons were removed from desktop, the icon design is ok, also the theme (taskbar...).

- Install a few things : xmms, partimage, desktop backgrounds...
- Reboot computer
- Save in pup_save.sfs, not encrypted, 512MB
- Copy locally pup_301 and zdv_301 from CD

After reboot when showing the desktop, the background is ok, also the taskbar, but "original" icons that were removed are shown and the icon design is not the ezpup one.

Where is the hole ?
Should I install ezpup after having done pup_save once ?

Thanks in advance for your advice.
(please note that the same problem also happens using puppy 2.16 with ezpup 2.1.7)

Go to /root/Choices/ROX-filer and copy globiconsEZ to globicons and PuppyPinEZ to PuppyPin, then restart.

I think the problem is something to do with booting with pfix=ram ... I think it writes a temporary version of those files to ram and they overwrite what you've saved in the pup_save.2fs file when you shutdown. Copying the backups should do the trick.

If it doesn't, copy /root/.config/rox.sourceforge.net/ROX-filer/globiconsEZ to globicons as well and restart X. It should do the trick.

Hope that helps.
