I tried this on New Years pup 02.

only thing needed to make it work:
symlink usr/lib/libespeak.so.1 >> usr/lib/libespeak.so.1.1.40.

used in 2017. Useful to keep an accent suitable , because when you read all day long a foreign language, you create your own phonetic, and your pronunciation get bad.
I Appreciate espeak. But espeak is a real flop with my three Linux French musketeers.
