XP gone, how do I install Puppy? |
|
Hello all,
I'm very excited about the new Puppy 1.0.5 that just came out but unfortunately
I cant download it because I have some problems with my computer.
You see, there is no way for me to get back into Windows XP because
the system files has been corrupted. and I don't have a XP reformat disk.
This means I can only work and boot up into Puppy, which is what I use.
I would like to install Puppy 1.05 but i dont know how that would work from Puppy alone.
Plus, I would need to expand my HD space which is currently at the minimum default of 200 something MB. I don't know how to do that from puppy.
Please help.
Thank you.

What version of Puppy are you able to use? Is it installed on the hard drive, or do you boot from the live CD?
200 MB should be plenty of room for you to download and burn the latest iso, using nothing but Puppy.

Hmm but what about expanding HD space from puppy and
installing puppy onto the HD? It runs better from HD than CD.
I'm on 1.0.4
I run it from HD
