How does Puppy handle Compact Flash Card in a PCMIA slot |
|
I am looking at a laptop computer that only has a PCMIA slot with 3 USB ports. I know that a compact flash card will fit in the slot. How would Puppy 3.01 report the compact flash card for storage purposes (sd*#, etc.)? Thanks for the help.

sda1 on my notebook if I plug in a cf-cardreader in the pcmcia-to-usb card.
Same as the external usb-harddisk also attached there, that one then is sdb1 sdb2 and so on.

there is one issue with USB-drives (not limited to pcmcia):
I often encounter, that when I re-attach a drive, a new driveletter is assigned.
Plugin: sda
remove, plugin again: sdb
And so on.
Does not disturb me, but might be of relevance, because you asked a quite specific question.
