#1 Post by yaknowwat »

The computers are running puppy 3.01 .

--most likely solved this part--
Got a computer that has dual TNT2 video cards and i want to install the drivers for them to improve the performance of the video cards.

--This part needs solving though--
this one has a basic on-board graphics card an Intel one as far as i know it is from around 2001 .wondering about drivers for that also as it seems to lagg alot on just about anything having to do with graphics.

It looks like these found the Nvidia Drivers needed.
http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewto ... 37&t=22272
TNT-GeForce 1 ones.

Now i need to figure out what to do about the Intel one.
I know drivers exist for it as when i booted that one up in Xubuntu it said it had restricted drivers in use for the card would have left Xubuntu on there but the computer couldn't handle Xubuntu so i took it off.

when i get near it I'll see what i can do about getting its graphics card info.

also how would you install a driver that would be given by the manufacturer (normally .bin or .run) under puppy linux because i can't seem to find a terminal that has full functionality with in it and i think thats what i will have to do after finding the driver.

----edit

I found a site http://intellinuxgraphics.org
which provides source for intel graphics cards i guess now all i need to know is how to compile drivers or if there is a pre-compiled driver for the intel graphics cards.
