Hi !

sccat: Here is my configure, may be helpfull !

Put in .bashrc file (root)

export LANG=en_US.UTF-8
export XMODIFIERS="@im=unikey"
export GTK_IM_MODULE="xim"

TNguyen: Để thực hiện Việt ha Puppy th cần nhiều thứ v đi hỏi bạn cũng phải biết 1 cht tương đối về lập trnh v cấu hnh hệ thống,....
C lẽ tốt hơn hết l bạn đợi mnh thực hiện xong phần xử l Giao diện, cấu hnh (Lips_vietnamese.pup) v Bộ g Tiếng Việt (unikey.pup) để ci đặt th sẽ dễ dng cho bạn hơn.

The last Vietnamese GUI ! Here !

Thanks,

Nice work, Hacao!

Work like this is actually white paper material - let us hope you can write one so we can distribute as white paper or an article in the Puppy newsletter...

Cheers!

Thanks,
but Where you start your unikey?
in .bashrc?

I start mine in rxvt. Then I start leafpad.I could input Chinese in it.
Then I start another rxvt and start abiword in it.I could input Chinese either.
But if i start leafpad/abiword from desktop,I can't input Chinses.Why?

How?

Thanks.

You need to set these variable in /etc/profile.
Notice that .bashrc reads /etc/profile.

Note also, you might want to consider editing /usr/sbin/chooselocale
...see this thread:
http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.php?t=3134
with localisation improvements, then submit revised script to me.

See the "hinh_2.png".The title aera of the leafpad shows the filename in Vietnamese.

Where to set the fonts?Or the character encoding?

I can see the correct character in the edit area of leafpad,But can't in the title area. Also the mozilla.

Thanks.

Hacao, would you give me a Vietnamese Puppy CD?
I live in Sai Gon too, and I've just used the Puppy for a few days. It's a very interesting OS. However, I'm a newbie in Linux, so I can't "tune" it for a regular Vietnamese user.
Thanks a lot!
