Kazehakase browser (dotpup candidate? any volunteers?)

#1 Post by mouldy »

This is an apparently nice GTK2 frontend browser using Mozilla Gecko rendering engine and I think would be a good addition to Puppy. Course I wouldnt know from personal experience since it has defeated all my efforts to either compile it or get one of rpms or deb binary versions to run successfully.

Trying to compile either 0.3.0 or 0.3.1 version, I get GTK recursive errors. Trying to run 0.3.0 deb binary, get "kazehakase: symbol lookup error: kazehakase: undefined symbol: _ZTV24nsGetServiceByContractID" Doing an end run and trying to run 0.2.9 rpm binary, after installing a dozen extra libraries, I still get same error.

So if anybody up to the challenge (I'm obviously not), here is the link and good luck: http://freshmeat.net/projects/kazehakase/
