Orbit theme for Seamonkey

#1 Post by MU »

Installing themes in seamonkey often fails.
I found an instruction here:
http://tinyurl.com/3ex9ps

Important is to install the theme-installer twice.
I did it once for my profile, and once globally.

If you want to avoid these steps and just want the orbit-theme:

The number "3y1skkw.slt" might be different on your system, so use your already existing folder.

- Close seamonkey.

- Rename
/root/.mozilla/default/r3y1skkw.slt/chrome/chrome.rdf
to:
/root/.mozilla/default/r3y1skkw.slt/chrome/chrome.rdf-backup

- Download:
http://dotpups.de/diverse-tgz/Orbit-the ... key.tar.gz

- Extract it in
/root/.mozilla/default/r3y1skkw.slt/chrome/

- Run seamonkey.

Seems to work in 1.1.2 and 1.1.8.

If it fails, delete the two extracted files, and rename your chrome.rdf-backup again.

Here is a screenshot of it in Muppy008.3 french (not released yet):

G'day µ,
Thank you for this - I like the Orbit theme and of course, Seamonkey. This will save me from repeatedly having to download the theme for each Puplet I try.
