Snack XS Sound Editor (which is a very good tcl program) always starts by offering to open a file? Why? If I want to open a file I will tell it . . .
Whilst some tcl programmer is fixing that (if able) could they please also change the default settings for recording to:

8000 hz
Mulaw
and mono

This would simplify the Barebones program I have just released:

I did have a go with the tcl and got in a muddle.
Smile

Please send me and Barry the amended code Smile
