The flame can be disabled via Enlightenment configuration > modules.
I updated Opera to 9.51 with Wolfpup's package and it works great.

First, I absolutely love Budda-dingo!!!

Unfortunately, I'm having a problem when trying to shutdown the system from Enlightenment and have run into the same problem on a few different computers.

Anyone else had similar issues? Any solutions?

Thanks in advance and GREAT WORK Puppyluvr!!!

Hello to all...=!

Booted BuddaPup Dingo today.. As a long time Slax user and Enlightenment spectator (been reading about it's potential for over a decade, but thought it was too difficult and never tried it until today) I am now a believer (Enlightenment is is not just for devs?)... I have seen the "light"!!!

I am curious however... what would be required to make Enlightenment the default?

Very Happy Hello,

@meridian_blue,
If you shut down in Enlightenment it should restart in Enlightenment.
It only needs the Enlightenment_start configuration once, should
be good to go from there..

@ I always shut down Enlightenment first "ctrl / alt / bkspce" and
then type reboot or poweroff..

Strange, I just downloaded Buddapup Dingo from
www.puppylinux.ca/members/BuddaPup/ and it turned out to be the regular Dingo version.
OK...my mistake....you have to type
ctrl / alt / bkspce to drop out of X
then type xwin enlightenment_start
as mentioned earlier in this forum.

I've noticed that a lot of puplets grab the first puppy file they find and end up looking like something else.

Cheers...=!

@ puppyluvr... I was thinking along the lines, of defaulting directly (instead of from the command line, using a persistent command) to Enlightenment instead of JVM (an excellent manager, just not my first choice)... Is it possible to boot directly (from live cd) and if so what would be required?

In any case... Outstanding puplet!!!

(I have seen the en"light" and now all but abandoned Winblow$)... =!

runtt21 -

Thanks. That solves the stalling prob, but is there any way to shutdown from within E17? I'm reviving an old PC for a reluctant "Win-slows" convert, and I fear any command-line interaction will be a turnoff.

Thanks again!!!
