Smile Pelo,
This is E17, not the E16 I posted on Tahrpup in the group.
I'll try to post a link to my E16 sfs here or there.
Check the group! Very Happy

Very Happy Hello,
That was before "Dingo" 4.0.
That was 2.17, the first E-17 Puppy, and that video was created by, and the Inspiration for, Macpup.
Dingo 4.0 was my last E-17 Puppy.
I do still work with E-16, and there is a .pet of the latest in my repo, but its inaccessable atm..

Subject description: Buddapup_Dingo.iso: 168 M

Iso downloading from archives.org to dress a recent Puppy with desktop... poor Puppies 2016, they are fast food, would your brand new computers be so sad ? 64 bits, 4GB ram without any artistic or foolish desktop ?
168MB ? nowadays, that is fully acceptable. Sure ISO has to be reworked in my workshops in France. But my teams now are accustomed to do that..
Ah, parcel now received at home. I open it and will feed back.
pup_400.sfs is dated july 3rd, 2008, glorious Times of Puppy Linux, famous challenge to big ones, used without any change on hard disk. So speedy and full featured.

PostPosted: Sun 20 Mar 2016, 20:30    Post subject: xwin enlightenment_start
Subject description: xvesa, not xorg ....

xwin enlightenment_start; that is the formula i was looking for
My laptop is born in 2012, buddapup xorgwizard is ok 1600x900 xorg.
I come back , sur i will have to change firmware to connect wireless, but that should not stop my test progress. I hope. there is no reason.

#exec $CURRENTWM
#v2.11 GuestToo suggested this improvement...
which $CURRENTWM && exec $CURRENTWM
[ -x $CURRENTWM ] && exec $CURRENTWM
exec enlightenment_start

Does not start....

Confused I do a try with virtual box, just to have an idea. Ok with Xvesa. Return to computer budda pup USB pendrive, xvesa, enlightenment runs.. Twisted Evil

Very Happy Hello,
When Dingo first boots, a dialog should direct you how to start E17. IIRC, its:
xwin start_enlightenment
But its been years so..
Maybe more info still here:
www.buddapup.webs.com

#Edit.. Nope, frozen due to no traffic, after 7 years. go figure...

#Edit2. Lol, this one is still up!

a new one ! musher0. first post toutou 4.3.1 is ? ???
Go and build us new Puppies, dear puppy-makers. Let us taste rock and roll , dance Java, and even Maurice Chevalier. If we want to listen that, and further more re master them , who could prevent us to do as we like ?
I saw it on you tube, and i shall sing : go pretty Puppy, go !
"Light my fire" for this 'burning" version would fit better. The background moves, flames burn, get away, it's a satanic puppy, Twisted Evil
French are too chaste and have to remain to pray in their convent. Here is Puppyluvr, Facebook and You tube. We 'run for the Devil !' Canadian are afraid by Justin Bieber... Musher0, keep with us !

Your Puppies wooof are sad, Messieurs, they will disappear from our memories, let us dress as we like these poor and numerous clones 'born to be alive' Evil or Very Mad

I am a puppy-player, Musher0, not a puppy-builder, sure echinus in console and enligtenment are opposite. Exclamation
My 64Bits Medion, born 2012, enjoys more old stuff than newer kernels for Windows 8, 3D and bluetooh libraries, for which no applications exist.
This puppy 400 only miss network firmware for my Medion Akoya. I will swithc the kernel is no better solution found (Driver for Dongle )

dear aficionados, Dingo is the version i found available in the Puppy's 'best of collections'.

puppyluvr 💾software
A Puppy Linux derivative by puppyluvr with the enlightenment E17 graphical environment, uses kernel 2.6.21.7
Topics: Puppy Linux, BuddapupDingo, enlightenment, E17, puppyluvr
buddapup is here, available from Puppy's Jukebox
There is an older version.
MY intention is to clone the desktop, i am a cloner too,
If rscrcn51 made a pet for RTL8192CU kernel 2.6.21.7, that would be enough for me, no need to change more firmware. My dongle CSL would connect me Smile to surf the web and Puppy Facebook

Buddapup is ok on a laptop 1600x900 vesa mode. for wireless i would have needed a driver for kernel 2.6.21.7 . I did not find one.
Swicthing the kernels failed. But budda works as Macpup. No sound, ah, i give up.
Background moving with flames burnin was new for me, on this old Puppy Smile
