Sub_title: Testdisk did the job

Does anyone know of data recovery software that will run successfully in Puppy? Or at least software that will let me view the contents of a corrupt or deleted file system? Even just a good disk data dump?

My goal is to restore a corrupt or deleted *.2fs file system (don't know which). Fsck and dumpe2fs seem to show the file system as clean with two directories (correct), but I can not see the contents with ROX. Badblocks shows nothing.

Is there an undelete program for Puppy?

Wow! Am I impressed. Downloaded Testdisk and ran it. You don't even have to install it! Recovered every picture on my 20+ gig partition including all those in the *.2fs file system. If you don't have this valuable tool, get it now from:

Get it before you really need it.
