missing libs in Puppy 4.0

#2 Post by tostadilla »

Thanks for the program!

Unfortunately, these libraries are missing in Puppy 4.0:

libxcb-xlib.so
libxcb.so
libdbus-glib-1.so
libdbus-1.so
libidn.so

Hi I tried to install the program in dingo 4.2 alpha and also got the error message that the dependencies were not found.
Where can I find them?
Thank you,
Jon

Use this version that I compiled in Puppy 4. This one isn't dependant on any of those libs.

turn off DHT in transmission

#12 Post by acanthus »

Does anyone know how to disable DHT in transmission? Also, in the version I have I don't seem to be able to selectively download parts of a torrent. I am using pup 4.
thanks

To selectively download a torrent you can selct the ones you dont want to download then select ignore(when you first add it) or if you have already added it go to details then files then do the same.

I'm not absolutely sure since im on another ditro now and dont have transmission. But you should be able to figure it out.

So I downloaded it and installed this. It seemed to install fine but I tried opening it and nothing popped up. I installed this one: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=32247 and it works. Any idea why it isn't working? I'm using Puppy 4.1 fyi.

Been playing with Puppy on an old laptop for a couple of years. Finally making the move on my desktop.

Thanks for this pet. The transmission that comes by default on 4.3.1 is quite clunky. This one looks like the newest version available on other distributions. Fantastic. One more essential application in place and working on my new Puppy box.
