Gtk/Gtk2:
Look at /etc/gtk
and
/etc/gtk-2.0
There are theme-files, they have Font-declarations, you try to alter the existing ones.
it might be a good idea, if Barry could add a line
include "/root/.gtkrc.mine"
in the end of every themefile, so that people could add "global" font-definitions here instead of adding them to every single theme.
