New video card produces blank screen

#1 Post by Huckfin »

I replaced the video card on my computer since I last ran Puppy.
My normal distribution is SUSE, and everything is running normally there with the new card.

Today, I decided to boot up Puppy, which I keep on a USB flash drive.
It got as far as choosing the video type and resolution, but when I clicked on "Test" all that I got was a blank screen.

I am guessing that it had saved the details of the old video card, but could not recognize the new one. Is there something that I should delete or should I try to do a complete re-install of Puppy from the CD?

Thanks,
