CUPS and HP Officejet 5615

Hello!
Is there anybody who knows how to get this devise working. It's a multifunction device FAX/printer/Scanner.
Thank you for helping me. The device is not listet in the device driver selection of cups.

It looks like HPLIP might be what you need (you'd need to download the tarball) BUT I am really not sure - hopefully someone who knows will answer......

If you just wanted to print, and weren't worried about scanner/copier, you could try using hpijs as the driver. Sometimes, if the printer you have isn't listed, it will work with another printer that is close. e.g. if the OfficeJet5600 is listed, try that.

If you only want printing there is a HPIJS pet packaqge available.here.
If you want scanning as well then I suggest the you look at the threads here and here regarding HPLIP.
Linux = Learning through doing :shock: :? :D
The learning curve may be steep but there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
You just have to pass the occasional oncoming train to get there.
