Looks like it works well in 3.01 once I placed it in the root directory. You folks are simply amazing with what you have done in such a short time. Not sure if this is an error or not but when using gizmo voicemail I can't setup my message, 3 on the dialpad seems to be recognized as 2 and instead plays saved messages.

Sound quality is top notch on my old Thinkpad, even without the headset.

Well designed interface.

Can't wait until I have a few more minutes to check it out.

Super Job everyone!
Oh and I am cloudwalkerwolf@proxy01.sipphone.com

It just works!

Thanks Peppyy
The bug is known and maybe Will has sorted it?
http://tmxxine.com/wik/wikka.php?wakka=PuppySip

Smokey I know you are in contact with Will
and it would be a good idea to call the icons from an icon directory
that way you can shrink improve and add

Will, the complete list of buddies is included
which goes in config6.cfg
Not sure who 'fatface' is?

More testers (particuarly for series 2) needed
and users - please provide a sip name - you might have to install gizmo to get that . . .

Does anyone know of another way of getting a sip number?

If we have enough people online simultaneously we might try a conference call which smokey has worked out how to do today.

Will I hear is working on the IM

Any updates?
Can you label the next IM update PS9.4 if available :)

Pritish lost your sip number - it was in the config file. What is it again?
Will your Sip number is not working/available?
What nefarious activities are you up to?

Tried a test record and sent to myself
this is the result:
As I suspected there IS a time limit - just as I was rambling on about women . . . was cut off (a lesson for us all) :)
There was no indication that the recording had finished.
Maybe there is a setting somewhere for allowed record time?

Anyway gives those still thinking about this prog an indication of the sound quality - the file is about 500k

Lobster, if you look at Will's address you will probably notice one "l" is missing. Just a typo.

When I clicked on the link above it dropped me out of XWIN. Anyone else had this problem?

Really great work everyone on getting this going.
Lobster wrote:Does anyone know of another way of getting a sip number?
There are lots of SIP service providers. Here's a big list: http://www.sipcenter.com/sip.nsf/html/Service+Providers
Ones that I've tried that recommend are:
callwithus.com - some of the cheapest rates around, and they allow you to set your caller id for pstn calls
freecall.com - offers free pstn calls to some countries for some time.
callcentric.com - professional, good quality
Hmm I guess I just like providers with "call" in the name!

@HairyWill:
I think I would like to see a combo box in PS for entering a sip uri to call, with previously called numbers down the list. Although it is getting kinda crowded in the window… Or at least some way of entering a new sip uri after pressing "Call." And, it could be processed a la gizmo, to add "sip:" to the beginning if it has no protocol and something like "@yoursipserver.etc" to the end if it doesn't have that.

OK here we go

v9.4
has rudimentry chat and presence notification features
it should pop up a window when you receive a call

it looks like all the detached processes are not dying properly so if you close then restart it won't work properly

sometimes i don't receive a chat message until the other person sends the next one

it automatically subscribes you to all your buddy's status

me tired

Let the bug reports roll, I will digest the rest of this thread later.

ps the start command is GO-puppysip-GO

Hi Will

Could not send you a voice message - but the program did see you online - m m m . . .

There seems to be many improvements and simplifications 8)
but the only thing that seemed to work was the voice mail button
The call button worked once - much echoing and may have got through to Toms automated answering service . . .

Anyway the priority would seem to be getting the call button working - or even working from the console - which I can no longer do

Loads of new facilities popped up - if you were phoning me an option to accept came up - I accepted but nothing .- no sound . .

Will look at the code to see if I can figure anything out

nice tail Aitch

OK some progress
make sure you are using the right details . . .
not hairy wills . . .

then edit the file
buddy-status-change-log
so it is empty

this allowed me to send a test message to myself (just call yourself - don't answer until the voice tells you to leave a message)
other messages to follow . . .

Tronkel tried to send a message - no voice Tronkel :)

Hi All,

I tried out the new version 9.4 and really like the look.

It showed who was online which is great.

I also tried to send a chat to Lobster and Will (they showed as online) but I'm don't know if you guys saw me online or received the chat window...hmmm.

I also ran this version on Jack's 2.16CE and had a sound problem but I didn't have time to trouble shoot this as it's CANADA DAY here and the grass needs a cuttin' and the beers are awaiting ;-)

I'll run some more tests later today.

Best,
Eric

Just got through to HairyWill
He will be doing some more coding and hopefully releasing it
Version 9.4 shows where we are going but is not functioning

Use 9.3
Wait for 9.5

If you get 9.4 working - bravo!

very much thinking of using a name you mentioned in another thread 'PSIP' - this would make a nice logo simpler . . .

Oh, I didn't mean to replace peppyy puppysip :( (I like that, too & yours is, well, sensible)

we need more logos/icons

c'mon graphics people - kick out the jams

@Lobster: I hope this PuppySIP is on the shopping list for St Bernard Puppy?

this should work much better

start command is
psip-pjsua-controller
haven't managed to get visual indicated of call dialing out
but popups for incoming calls and ims should work, maybe status as well

I've incorporated changes from lobster and smokey, over to you guys to rearrange buttons/menus, fix the forum link and tweak artwork.

whew
