Icon Themes Exchange
With the creativity here at the forum I'm surprised there aren't any Rox toolbar icon sets yet. Anyone feel up to the challenge? I'm working on some. It's weird that it's not a corner that's explored very much. Hope to see some action here. You guys are incredibly creative.

Open a rox window (click on the home icon is easiest way). Right click on one of the folders. Select options. This is where the rox pinboard options are (the desktop folder stuff).Ironwulf wrote:Can anyone tell me where you go to change the color of the text displayed under the desktop icons. I have searched and just can not figure it out.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Select Pinboard then you'll see Foreground: that is your text color. Click on that and pick a color your want.
Have fun!
Welcome back present...
I haven't posted in a while so I come bearing gifts, just as I would when visiting an old friend after a long period of non-contact. Enjoy!

Welcome home Warren.
Have you been using PC-Linux OS again?
Tsk, tsk - you are a sucker for a pretty face.
[me too]
As mentioned in a PM I was thinking of using 4.2.1
Two things I missed from 4.2.1 - a working Nvidia driver
and IceWM
Using IceWM now. Next step that driver . . .

Nope. I'm afraid I've lost interest in that one. I've been using OpenSUSE-11.1 and Ubuntu-9.10 Karmic Koala.Lobster wrote:Have you been using PC-Linux OS again?

The former proved a pain because it was a free-software-only distro, so no drivers packaged for anything, including my nVidia card. 700Mb and still not as good as Puppy for hardware support.
The Ubuntu is very good, and I'm keeping it around for a while. Won't shutdown properly on my laptop though, where Puppy does. I expect that each software "update" will break something else and I'll eventually trash it in favour of the latest thing, whatever that is.
I don't know who compiled the nVidia driver for Puppy 4.31 but it works a treat for me and the installation was a breeze.Lobster wrote:As mentioned in a PM I was thinking of using 4.2.1

I'm still running 4.21 as well, but the lack of development support for that kernel, principally because 4.3x followed on so quickly, means that I'll probably drop it myself sooner or later. The nexus in support of the v3.x vs v4.x squash files was another killer. A shame to see so much hard work killed off without a second thought.
I'm saving a partition for 4.4 though, and I've got a Upup install that likes the onboard graphics of my laptop. I'll also have to make room for Dpup when it arrives. I'm just fickle I guess.
