How do I rescue my KDE PIM adress book and emails?

#1 Post by simonmce »

I've managed to get Dingoplus working from a USB stick on my eeepc. The eeepc needs to be restored (my fault, I think - I tried to install a program that didn't want to!)

I can run dingoplus and I think (but I'm not sure) that I've found the files that I need to copy to get KDE PIM back up and running with all my information on it, but I can't get permissions to do it.

I guess I need to know how to login on puppy as a superuser.

Any help appreciated.

If the PIM file is on the same computer, it seems copying it would be a simple operation.

There is no 'su' to give more privileges than you presently have in Puppy, because you are root already.
