I get this error message when I run the installer from macromedia:

ERROR: Your glibc library is older than 2.2.
Please update your glibc library.

Have you tried going to a site which requires flash and clicking through the "click here to install this plugin" dialogues, letting firefox find the installer and download it for you? I've never had any problems installing flash in firefox on puppy this way.

If you just go into /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins, copy flash out of there to the plugins directory wherever Firefox is installed.
I think that's all you need to do. Start Firefox and you should be in business.
