QT 4.4.1 full version of qt4.4.1 including webkit

Well Another member asked for the latest QT4 package so I compiled it, What a big program to compile, It take well over 1.5 gigs of space and the end result is 24MB pet or 77MB extracted. This is the full version, you get everything with it including webkit and Qt3 support, With webkit you can take a shot at compiling midori or skipstone :)
Anyways enjoy

Ps updated , I originally included a bunch of compiling extras that I removed, so now its 100% complete without the leftover junk. almost 50% smaller

Thanks ttuuxx,

these pets make huge progress for pushing puppy forward. Thanks very much.

I think i will cut this version down and make a small one for puppy install.

thanks again,

No problem at all:) It took 2 tries, I had to upgrade the devX compiler first so it would work properly.

Compiling Midori

Thanks for this ttuuxxx, and thanks especially for building midori, which looks like the closest thing I have seen in linux to the kind of browser I want. I noticed that midori 0.9.20 was released a day or two ago and i was considering trying to complie it. I remember you said it was a bear when you did 0.9.18. Could you post any magic formula to get it to build--or build it for us in your huge amounts of free time ;-) thx

Well hmmmmm lol
I'm working on my next release of "Living Water" and well I need to stay focussed :) To Build Midori from scratch, like I did, It akes hours and Hours and HOURS and HOURS and HOURS
Plus no shortcuts at all, But I'll tell ya what, As soon as I get distracted from LW I'll take another stab at it :)

Trying to learn more

what i was asking is whether it is a simple case of ./configure, make, make install, etc. I assume not, but some programs are that easy--or do you have the command line you used. If the hours and hours.... are just letting the computer run then I can do that ;-) I did get very lucky and successfully compile xfce once.

well webkit is very picky, But you might be on to something, Maybe give it a try? This is what I used for compiling it,
./configure --prefix=/usr --build=i386-linux
I might of included --enable-flash --enable-java
but I forget,
Hope that helps

ttuuxx,

I know this is a long long time ago, when you did this.

But if you still have the built version still there. Is there any change of being able to build libQtDbus.so

without this library you can't run skype in Dynamic mode.

you're the man... if you can.

cmake says "missing qmake" from Qt

Hi ttuuxxx, I downloaded this Qt4 .pet that you assembled in hopes that I could compile a program using cmake but I get an error that states:
"cannot find Qt qmake." Any idea what I would be doing wrong?

I am running Puppy 4.2.1 frugal install.

thanks,
rpk

Thanks for your work, it is rather sad in a way that this thing is almost as big as puppy itself.

Well, I still get Error 404... So what's wrong?

The archive (more or less everything stored on the puppylinux.ca server, probably the .asia server, as well) has essentially disappeared in recent months. I haven't been able to find ttuuxxx's full qt 4.4.1 .pet anywhere else (though I did find a version of his qt-3.3.8.pet). There could be mirrors; I just don't know where they are. :|

But... why didn't you try to get it back in September, after we mentioned the link was still working? :)
