Hi, I read about a spanish menu for jwm (.jwmrc translated) and a spanish
help html file. I also read about a vietnamese puppy etc.
Now my question is how can we enable puppy to (start) supporting such
other languages a bit better than today..?
To always translate .jwmrc, when a new puppy arives is surely not the
solution... In similar projects at work, we use a template file.. each line
represents a menu item. It begins with the keyword and at the same time
is also the default language (most times english), than comes the next supported language for ex. french, than german, spanish etc. The translations are just separated words/phrases/sentences etc.
Out of such a template, we could have a language menu switcher, that
generates the actual menu file .jwmrc out of it...
Or one could write a sed search and replace wizard.. meaning
search for 'Control Panel' and replace for german with 'Kontrollpult'..?
Are there any knowledge out there on how to do such things?
Other projects..? Does jwm supports other language menu items..?
As always in puppy, the solution should be 'lean and mean'..
PS
language support in Puppy..? how...
language support in Puppy..? how...
Have fun :)
