@PaulBx1 asks
Can anyone tell me why mounted drive icons sometimes have a green dot, and other times have a sickly-yellow dot? There seems no rhyme or reason to it, and I cannot find what the difference is.
Green means Mounted but can be UnMounted by Rite Clic'ing Ov'r it, Yello' by Contrast is Mounted, But Can't be UnMnted, I Think

As I see it:PaulBx1 wrote:Can anyone tell me why mounted drive icons sometimes have a green dot, and other times have a sickly-yellow dot? There seems no rhyme or reason to it, and I cannot find what the difference is.
- a green dot is a drive/resource which is mounted and which can be unmounted.
- a yellow dot is a drive/resource which is mounted and can't be unmounted. I see only one which is in this case and it is /mnt/home in a frugal install.
I may be wrong.

Beem, on those weird icons, you might look at the /mnt directory, with nothing mounted. Sometimes those mount points get files stuck under them inadvertently. Maybe the event handler, or whatever it is that makes those icons, has found some files under the mount points and is trying to tell you that with those folder icons.Any idea where to look?
Just a guess...

Yes I made already that error also to copy to such a directory while the device wasn't mounted yet.
I looked in /mnt and the DVD one gives an error msg about wrong fs type for the device, but the directory is empty and the hda1 has a Grey dot on it. Clicking gives an error message of the device not being a block device but it displays the hda1 directory afterwards, which is empty also.
I think that these are leftovers from the time hda1 became sda1, became hda1 again, and is now sda1 again.
As I always migrate the pup_save from version to version, something may went wrong maybe.
Maybe be there is a command to 'delete' a device.
So I could 'delete' hda1 and DVD
