How to read Linux files from Windows in a dual boot system
I found this rather nice file system extender for installation in windows XP which lets you see the ext2 and ext3 file systems from windows XP (usually you can only look the other way).
The site is http://www.fs-driver.org and the download is at http://www.fs-driver.org/download/Ext2IFS_1_10a.exe though I recommend reading the FAQ and notes first.
There are a variety of other products around but this eems to have the best combination of features.

Win9x users can use Ext2Shell which adds a folder (Ext2 Partitions) to Windows Explorer that will allow you to browse your ext2 partitions. Unlike explore2fs you don't have to run an extra program. It requires the Windows MSI installer There is currently no download site but I can send it if anyone is interested.
