but isnt there just a plugin that will work. I would rather not uninstall then have to fiddle to install an sfs. |

I've got streamtuner 0.99 working again: [img]http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?mode=attach&id=31006[/img] It however requires a proxy setup of streamtuner2 CLI. It's working on my computer, but if someone volunteered a web server, everyone could use this again. Basically you just need to hexedit-patch the /usr/lib/streamtuner/plugins/shoutcast.so and replace all occourences of "www.shoutcast.com" with "old.shoutcast.com". Then simply add following to your /etc/hosts file:
For the proxy server to work, you need PHP and Python>2.5 installed (my provider hasn't), download streamtuner2 there, and setup the contrib/ files for faking the old "yp.shoutcast.com" server. It's a bit tricky, but I've assembled all pieces here: http://milki.erphesfurt.de/streamtuner2/ext/st1proxy.tgz So, if there's serious interest to set this up for everyone, and you can provide a public webserver with unfettered virtual host name support, contact me.
