Use hdparm to improve hard disk throughput

#1 Post by Marv »

If you run Puppy on a hard disk, or on a CF card on an ide adapter for that matter the default disk setup is waaaaay conservative. Take a look at it with hdparm, it's in Pup.

An excellent link is: http://www.linuxdevcenter.com/pub/a/lin ... dparm.html
Pups currently in kennel :D Older LxPupSc and X-slacko-4.4 for my users; LxPupSc, LxPupSc64 and upupEF for me. All good pups indeed, and all running savefiles for look'n'feel only. Browsers, etc. solely from SFS.
