Hey, This is a quick guide on how to install anyRemote for puppy. anyRemote is a application that allows you to control your pc from your phone via bluetooth. Read more at http://anyremote.sourceforge.net/ NOTE: This guide was tested on Puppy 4.1 ONLY! You will need: Bluetooth dongle. Java enabled Cell phone with Bluetooth And be able to transfer files from your pc to your phone. Ok, so the 1st we have to set up our bluetooth. This is really easy. Information taken from ExperimentalBT AND Gentoo Bluetooth Guide 1. Download and install experimental_BT_1.pup (Dunno if there is a .pet available) 2. Open up the console and type:
It should have a line saying "UP RUNNING PSCAN ISCAN" Then say:
Now you should be able to see your to see your computer. Now all you do is download the pet package I made (attached below) and install it. After that, open the console again, type
There are quite a few premade scripts in /usr/share/anyremote/cfg-data/ so check them out. Hope this helps. Was kinda in a rush when writing this. Need to study for exams now... :/ Wish me luck.
