How to change time using Icewm with Puppy?

#1 Post by Jawshc »

Hello,
I hope this does not sound like a dumb question :). I was wondering how you change the time in the corner using Icewm with Puppy? It is an hour off and it is driving me mad.

my clock shows the same time in icewm, fvwm95, jwm, and fluxbox

you can change the time using the Set Timezone Wizard in the Control Panel menu

i still think it works backwards ... New York City should be +5, Los Angeles should be +8, Athens should be -2

if you edit /etc/TZ, then daylight savings should work too
for example , my timezone is Eastern Standard Time so i put EST5EDT in my TZ file

i have a program that sets the clock from the internet ... i should put it in a .pup file
