Howto use two mice at once with Dingo 4.00

#1 Post by cklammer »

Two pointing devices/mice in parallel under Dingo 4.00

Hardware:

(1) Pointing device #1: "Logitech Marble Mouse" (Ancient Trackball connected via PS/2)
(2) Pointing device #2: Optical Mouse (no-name) connected via USB
(3) PC: Pentium II, 320 MB RAM, 3.9 GB Puppy save file
(4) OS: Puppylinux "Dingo" 4.00

Hardware installation: Shutdown the PC, connect pointing via their respective to the suitable ports, Boot PC.

Software configuration: In my case fully automatically performed by Dingo.

Result: Both pointing devices control the same mouse pointer now. My 3-year-old is now able to use her own small mouse while I am able to help with the trackball (which is good for my large hand).

Have fun all,
cklam
