How can we and is it worth providing fortran as a dotpup?
I donn't no . It depends how many people would use it .
Maybe the best would be to put it into usr_devx.sfs by Barry .
I use the Fotran from conectiva I386 . Barry use slackware I486 . Maybe the slackware has a G77 somewhere .
On the other hand you can add connectiva's G77 to slackware GCC that work's (puppy 1.0.5) .
But you get a lot of double headers and libary's . Greatings Menno .

I may try to install fortran because I would like to try to get octave (a mathematical package) running and it requires a fortran compiler (as well as gnu C and Make) to be built. I'll see how it goes. If any one has octave (see octave.org) on puppy, I'd appreciate any insight.

P.S.: By the way, "kudos" to all Puppy developers. It gives new life to older hardware! Thanks!
