Unable to boot from CD

So, I created the CD using Nero and I placed it into my cd drive. I set the bios to boot from the CD, but I got an error and it asked me to retry. I tried Damn Small Linux and Knoppix and I'm going to tse, can someone walk me through the process? Thanks.

So what happened when you tried DSL and Knoppix? Did they boot?

Did you download the .txt file and try md5sum check to test if the download is ok.
