A Puplet with Native OpenGL support?

I play a lot of Second Life, so I need a Puppy Linux that will support it. I tried installing the Linux release of it, but it gave me a bunch of error messages. I was told after this attempt that I needed to install OpenGL, but I couldn't figure it out. So I was hoping there was a version of Puppy that came with OpenGL support. If there are any, please post them here! Thanks!

:D Hello,
Not possible..
OpenGL is specific to your video card, and must have specific drivers installed.
IDK which Puppy you are using (Helps to include details in your posts, like CPU,RAM,VIDEO, Puppy Version..ect..) but 3DCC works for me up to version 3.01..It only lists up to 2.14, so I use that one..Worth a try..Havnt tested it on 4.xx Puppy yet...
http://www.dotpups.de/dotpups/3D-Control-Center/
This guides you through installing DRM, DRI, and GL on Puppy..
Bear in mind, and drivers located on puppylinux.ca wont be available till Dec.due to bandwidth overruns...
Good Luck.... :D
@P.S. Icepup 3.01 has 3DCC and OpenGL included...
But you still have to configure it for your video card...

Actually that is not correct...

wNop 2 and I assume the upcomeing ripple support nearly every linux supported 3d HW

I think they are based on puppy 3 but I'm not sure

also you may want to turn off compiz when playing games with a slower 3d card should allow a noticeable improvement

:D Yes,
wNOP and Tigerpup are 3.01.
Ripple is 4.xx
I love Ripple..
They support Intel 810 and up, ATI and NViidia..
I forgot about the Compiz stuff...
Good call cb88, I`d bet Second Life would run OOTB on them...
Damn, now I gotta try....
Tombh did some brilliant work to enable auto-configuring GL/3D on Puppy..

barnold, cb88 is right, try wNOP /Tigerpup / Ripple...
However, as cb88 said, turning Compiz off should give an improvement to speed, if needed, but in Ripple, you cant turn Compiz off, as it`s all there is....

Do persevere.

The Linux version of SL (Second Life) only requires a 64MB Graphic card as minimum (which I am using) Windows requires 256MB

My adventures so far:
talking to a giant mushroom (I do that anyway)
Meditating in a rainbow (actually I do that too)
Went for a beer with some astrophysicists. All the the women are hot - even the astrophysics
Met a Himalayan Graphic designer
Met someone who lives very near to me . . . interested in Buddhism
At the moment sitting in a Temple doing ZaZen (meditating) - that will save some time . . .

Drank some GNU soda
Fun

Any chance you have tested this with Puppy 4.11 yet, please?

I am uncertain as to how to proceed.

I need to get openGL working on an old Panasonic Toughbook CF-27 laptop.
