Puppy Wallpapers

#1 Post by steve_s »

Ok, I sorta went crazy with this, but I thought y'all might enjoy some of these.

In Gimp if you have a png of something (like the Puppy Logo) and you throw it into "Alpha to Logo" script-fu, mix and match, it will make all kinds of crazy things.

Most of these are me putting them in there and using the default and seeing what happens. Some of them are more creative and some I just thought looked neat.

So, if you like 'em, help yourself...they are all big wallpapers 1024x768.

Oh, and if you want to post some Puppy wallpapers that you've done, this thread can suit that purpose nicely, so please share with the class.

Very attractive, I grant you but, far too heavy in Kb's for what would be reasonable desktop wallpaper. Changing down from PNG to jpeg's will make a considerable difference. Using mtPaint, and saving as a jpeg at 70%, the original picture, 'Puppy-textured' (1.63Mb's) can be saved as a 179K (182,636 bytes) image with very little image degradation.

Rats! I always forget that perspective...ok, I'll shrink 'em down down as jpg's and repost 'em...thanks, Fossil.

Uh, oh. 8) I found some of the newer Puppy Logos here in this thread here courtesy of afgs (nice work!)

I'll start incorporating 'em...here is one with sort of a starry streak effect....

Once again, you artists out there, if you want to show some of your Puppy pride, feel free to post your Puppy backgrounds here as well...

Puppy Aquatic!

This one is one of my favorites...turned out pretty well, I think.

A nice light blue Puppy with water droplets on it...

Here's another one for the day.

This is a blue patterned background with the nice blue logo from the thread I mentioned previously.

Nice. I'm normally not a big fan of blue things (Sonic is an exception), but that is a very nice wallpaper.

Thanks! I'm kinda hoping my modest efforts will inspire some really good stuff by others, that's my main goal. If some of the stuff I put here is liked by others then that's a good by product... 8)

Wood grain Puppy

This one has a good wood-grain texture...rustic wallpaper for all you "brown" color fans.

Steve S;
When I build a mini-itx Puppy box I'll use a fancy cigar box that
matches your wood grain wallpaper.

Very classy work.
Thanks
